Top Tip!

Hi There!

This week I have a top tip to help improve your sitting trot! A lot of the time when you are in sitting trot your bouncing around in the saddle (usually when you first start riding) and you just can’t seem to stay in the saddle, this tip should hopefully help you to keep your bum in that saddle! When your in sitting trot I find that most of the time you forget a lot about your feet but in actual fact your feet are really important if you want to improve your sitting trot! This is because if your heels aren’t down 1. you could loose your stirrups and 2. you will tense up which will cause you to be bouncing all over the place! So next time you try sitting trot be sure to push your heels down and relax letting the weight go down in to your heels which is really going to help you improve your sitting trot. Another way that I use is stirrup less! This is also really going to help as you really will be sitting that trot! This is because it will give you the feeling you want to feel when you have your, stirrups plus it can be a really fun exercise to do as it really tests your balancing skills!

These are just a couple of tips. Let me know what other tips you would like me to do in the comments or on my Instagram @theartofequineresolutions I just want to say I am not a professional and this may not work for you but it definitely worked for me so you can just give it a go and be sure to let me know how it went!

That’s all for now!

See you in my next blog!
